Another 800 passengers have been left stranded in the capital this morning.
A number of buses remain out of action after failing police safety checks, forcing 24 services to be cancelled this morning.
Greater Wellington Regional Council spokeswoman Phillippa Lagan said council staff will be meeting with NZ Bus this morning to discuss the issues they are facing.
"We know that NZ Bus were working through the weekend to make sure as many of those buses were put back into service as possible but we're just wanting to get a clearer indication of where things stand."
Ms Lagan said disruptions may continue throughout the week.
