About 5000 Wellington commuters with Snapper cards have been overcharged, Snapper Services chief executive Miki Szikszai said today.
The commuters were charged about $2 too much when they paid their bus fares because of a software error.
The error affected about 145 Go Wellington buses between August 10 and 20, with customers being incorrectly charged an average of $2.
All affected Snapper card holders had been identified and the problem was being resolved.
Customers could visit www.snapper.co.nz/refunds to find out if they had been affected, or contact Snapper.
