Police are at Charles Fergusson Building on Bowen Street in Wellington after a report of a suspicious package.
Police were alerted at around 10:50am and the building was evacuated. Police later deemed the package was not suspicious and evacuated workers were let back in.
The building is used by the Ministry for Primary Industries, which regulates agriculture and horticulture sectors.
