Firefighters are the scene of a "well-involved" fire in a block of three units in the South Auckland suburb of Otara.
Northern Fire Communications shift leader Jaron Phillips said there was a fire in the second floor bedroom one unit, but no one was believed to be inside the O'Connor St property.
They were alerted just after 4pm and firefighters from Otara and Papatoetoe had responded.
