From the "doh" files: An eagle-eyed Advocate reader today drew our attention to this recently-erected sign on State Highway 1 just south of Whangarei, or "Whanagarei" as the New Zealand Transport Agency would have it.
NZTA Northland and Auckland highway manager Brett Gliddon said the agency was looking into where the issue was in the quality control process. The sign will be removed tomorrow morning.
