Homemade videos of New Zealand students beating up their peers have been deemed too offensive for the YouTube website.
Videos of fights and bullying at top boys' schools are amongst those being pulled.
Schools allegedly involved include Auckland Grammar, St Kentigern's College and Tauranga Boys' College. A number of apparently staged assaults are still on the website, listed under the comedy category.
The revelations come in the wake of disgust across the Tasman, after pack of schoolboys filmed themselves assaulting female student and sold the footage.
Executive Head of St Kentigern College Warren Peat is not convinced one of the films is definitely linked to his school. He says the playground at St Kentigern's has a high level of staff presence and on the rare occasion there is a fight, students are dealt with quickly.
Mr Peat says the activities some students are involving themselves in is unacceptable and he cannot understand how they can think the videos are entertaining or fun. However he says short of dealing with those involved after the event, there is little in the way of pro-active measures that can stop kids doing what kids will do.
