It has eluded the All Blacks for 24 years but today rugby fans can see the gleaming Webb Ellis Trophy for the last time before the World Cup starts.
It will be at the Eastern Viaduct in Auckland between 10am and 2pm, the last day of the Rugby World Cup 2011 Roadshow, a festival that began in Bluff four weeks ago.
"It's the last real public chance to see the trophy," Real NZ Festival publicist Sally Woodfield said. "From here on in, it has bookings. It's fairly popular in terms of its diary."
Woodfield said event organisers have been "astounded" by the public response to the show and especially by some of the costumes.
"We had a baby dressed as a rugby ball and a little kid dressed as a piece of sushi, because they were supporting Japan."
