The nine holers played a stableford round and Carol Parkinson was in the clubhouse with 17 points next in was Anne Renall, Anne Parkinson and Karen Shaw all on 15 points.
Nearest the pin went to Anne Parkinson, and even though the day was drizzly and wet the company was superb!
The Thursday club held a tournament on the 16th. There was a good turnout, and this, allied to a fine day and an excellent selection of prizes, maent a great time was had by all. Sponsorship included a great array of shrubs and plants from Plants R Us (Greytown) and a fine wine cooler from Graham (which included a great bottle of wine).
The All Teed Up nearest the pin was won by Stuart Taplin who finished it off with a not -too-close two. Other twos included Geoff Bunny, Wayne Phelps, Craig Colton and Scott Reid.
The longest drive(1-19) went to Wayne Phelps and Ed Ellworthy won the (20-36)
The main prize winners in the stableford competition where the competitors took the first choice off the table were:

Next were Ed Elworthy and Terry Blacktop on 39. Thy were followed closely by Mike Everson,Warren Colton, Bob Smith and Bill Jones. When the nineteenth player took the last prize off the table, the remaining not -too- unlucky participants each received a box of chocolates!
The average score was 35 stablefords, a sign players are now getting the better of the more difficult winter conditions.
And of course, we couldn't let a tournament pass without thanking Meg for her nourishing and imaginative catering. See you all at the next one!
The mid-winter Ambrose was played on Saturday in mild temperatures although it was wet underfoot.
A good feild entered and members were encouraged to include one of our nine holers in their teams, which turned out to be a wise choice because the first placed three teams included a nine holer.
