Snow and storms in Christchurch has hampered the start of the country's biggest tourism tradeshow.
Up to 1500 delegates are expected at TRENZ, which opened today and runs until Thursday.
But today some exhibitors and buyers were unable to fly into Christchurch airport.
"The weather is expected to improve tomorrow and wherever possible, the airlines are giving TRENZ delegates... priority status," the trade show's chief executive Fiona Luhrs said.
As of tonight, airports were open but many major Canterbury roads were marginal.
