Greenpeace says rough seas in the Southern Ocean have prevented a Japanese whaling fleet there from doing its work.
The Greenpeace ships Esperanza and Arctic Sunrise have been shadowing the fleet and the crews are pleased the foul weather is preventing the whale slaughter.
"That's a fairly good Christmas present," says the Esperanza bosun, New Zealander Phil Lloyd.
