Water supply crisis continues in Westport

The West Coast communities of Westport and Carters Beach could be on untreated water by the end of the week as the area's worst water supply crisis in more than 20 years worsens.

Buller District Council is about to seek consent to pump water from the upper reaches of the Orowaiti River directly into the water mains.
