Water has been restored to the Christchurch suburbs of Sumner and Redcliffs after it was cut off this morning.
Christchurch City Council said the one of the two feed lines that service the area is under repair, and a valve on the working line appears to have been inadvertently closed for a short period.
The council said the supply had now been restored.
