KEY POINTS:
About 3000 houses in Manukau City south of Auckland have had their water supply restored after a road slip destroyed about 100 metres of supply pipe yesterday.
Water tankers roamed the area offering residents water and trucks delivered bottled water as engineers worked on replacing the supply pipe on Redoubt Rd.
Manukau City Council said today some people who lost their water supply might have cloudy or dirty water but it should clear if the tap is run for a short time.
