Rosmini College's junior water polo team swapped their caps for aprons for a good cause yesterday.
Instead of chasing a ball around a pool, the 11 teenagers made dinner for the 120 residents at Ronald McDonald House at Auckland Hospital.
The first challenge for the boys was raising the money to buy the ingredients for the dinner (about $1000), so they went looking for, and found, a willing business sponsor - Macrennie Commercial Construction.
Parents with cooking and catering experience were also roped in to help out last night.
Ronald McDonald House provides accommodation for families with sick children being treated at Starship hospital.
