Watch: Otago house goes up in flames

A house on the Otago Peninsula was "extensively damaged" by a fire overnight.

Crews were called to the blaze on Harington Point Rd, near Portobello, about 10.30pm last night.

Firefighters from Portobello, St Kilda and Dunedin attended.

The house was "extensively damaged" but there were no injuries, a Fire Service spokesman said.

He said no one was in the house at the time.

A crew stayed on site until around 4am, he said.
