A South Island driver has shared a hair-raising video after coming inches from the edge of a cliff in the snowy Skippers Canyon near Queenstown.
A wintry blast brought snow to low levels in parts of the south on Monday, including Queenstown, making driving increasingly dangerous.
In the frightening but spectacular footage, the bottom of the canyon is visible as the driver gets close to the edge of the cliff.
The driver carefully navigates around the tight and narrow bends as thick snow blankets the roads on the hills.
Locals took to social media to react to the stunning footage and treacherous drive.
