Warriors hooker Lance Hohaia was arrested for disorderly behaviour outside an Auckland nightclub in the early hours of yesterday.
The rugby league club would not reveal details of the incident that led to the arrest.
Warriors chief executive Mick Watson said Hohaia, 22, would be fined $5000 and miss the team's next match, against St George Illawarra on Saturday.
He will appear in court this week.
Hohaia apologised to management, coaches, players and fans.
"I feel bad for all of them and I'm disappointed in myself," he said.
"I understand why the club needs to have values and as a player I know I need to keep them in mind."
Warriors fullback Brent Webb was last year axed from the squad after breaching team protocols.
The rest of the Warriors squad were warned they would be treated the same if they lowered standards.
Webb had been detained by police and warned for disturbing the peace, following an incident outside a nightclub.
A Warriors spokesman said he did not have any further details of Hohaia's alleged disorderly behaviour.
