Armed police found drug paraphernalia in raids on two suspected P labs in the Bay of Plenty this morning.
More than 30 police, including the Rotorua and Tauranga armed offenders squads, executed search warrants at houses in Whakatane and rural Waiohau, 40km southwest of Whakatane.
The raids were part of an ongoing investigation into the manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine in the Bay of Plenty, Acting Inspector Brent Crowe said.
Materials relating to the manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine were discovered during the operation, he said.
Two people were arrested in connection with this investigation earlier this week, and were facing serious drug charges, Mr Crowe said.
Further arrests were possible.
