If fugitive mother Juliette Gilbert does not fly back to the United States by Monday, American authorities will issue a warrant for her arrest in New Zealand.
"We will have the New Zealand police pick her up," Detective Lori Blankenship said from the United States yesterday.
The 37-year-old website artist has been wanted by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) since she fled Washington state with her young son Sky three years ago.
She is now in hiding for the second time in a month.
The New Zealand Immigration Service has given her until Monday to fly out of New Zealand voluntarily or be subject to a five-year ban from this country.
Her 38-year-old New Zealand fiance Craig Henwood said yesterday Gilbert and Sky, 8, had disappeared after doing a magazine interview on Friday.
