ANZ customers are being warned not to respond to a "phishing" email purportedly from the bank.
A company spokesman told Newstalk ZB: "ANZ would never approach customers for their account details or passwords. I would advise people who do receive these emails to ignore them and delete them immediately."
The bank has had a fake website shutdown overnight.
Phishing emails advise customers to update their details and provide a link to a fake online banking page.
