Warning over boat clash

Maritime New Zealand will send warning letters to the owners of two East Coast fishing boats that clashed in a fishing grounds dispute last month.

Rick Pollock's Pursuit was hit by Joe McClutchie's Tangaroa on January 7. Maritime NZ spokeswoman Heidi Brook said even though it was a deliberate action on the part of Mr McClutchie, there was only minor damage.
