Police are warning people to be careful not to allow burglars into their houses as the nights grow warmer.
Detective Sergeant Martin Todd said police were investigating a spate of night-time burglaries throughout Wellington in which intruders had entered houses through an open window. Laptops, iPods, cameras and cash were stolen, in some cases literally from under occupants' noses as they slept.
