Few objects evoke a feeling of wonder and awe the way that war medals can. One can't help imagining the courageous deeds carried out by the young men and women who served their country.
We believe these three medals belonged to B Temperton of the Royal New Zealand Airforce. Perhaps you know his story?
Was he part of a bomber crew, or maybe a fighter pilot? Did he spend countless hours waiting on the ground, never knowing when the orders would come through to scramble? Was he filled with a sense of excitement or trepidation, trying not to think of the possible consequences of the next mission?
We'd like to find out more about B Temperton and return these precious medals to their rightful owner.
If you know of B Temperton or his family, we'd love to hear from you. Visit the Rightful Owners' Facebook page or call 0800 327 994 and tell us the story.
