A man wanted in the United States for the abduction of his four-year-old daughter has been found in Wellington.
Andrew Burns, 37, has been arrested for passport offences.
Police said Burns, who is from New York State, abducted his daughter, Alexis Burns-Buck on March 14, breaking the custody orders in place.
The pair arrived at Auckland Airport on March 24, on a flight from Western Samoa.
They were last seen in Christchurch in April.
After police posted a photo on the internet today, the pair were traced to a Wellington address.
Alexis is currently being looked after by the American Embassy and will be returned home to the United States as soon as possible.
