A Wairarapa man wanted by police has surrendered to the Armed Offenders Squad.
Wairarapa Detective Senior Sergeant Barry Bysouth said Shannon Hoani Martin, who was wanted for failing to appear at court on firearm and burglary charges, gave himself up after police surrounded a house in Palmerston North.
"I would like to thank the media for their support in the continued advertising of the wanted status of Martin," he said. "It is important to us that we can keep momentum going and pressure on wanted persons like Martin when they are actively avoiding detection."
