Wanju Li, 44, from China was also known as Julia.
She was studying English at the King's Education language school in the CTV building so she could work as a nurse in New Zealand.
Julia has a 12-year-old son and a husband, who were both in China when the earthquake struck.
She had previously worked at the Beijing United Family Hospital in China for 10 years.
