Wandering pig on block

Officials are still waiting for someone to bring home the bacon after a pig caught wandering the streets of Papakura failed to sell.

The 40kg saddleback was impounded by Auckland Council three weeks ago and its owners have not been traced.

Animal Control Services manager Ken Muir said an auction failed to meet its $200 reserve but is open to new bids.
