Wanaka water below par

Wanaka's drinking water supply has failed to meet Ministry of Health standards, but local government officials say there is no cause for concern.

The ministry's annual survey found Wanaka's treatment plant posed a "very high" level of risk of contamination but that did not mean the actual water quality was substandard.
