There've been no flare-ups overnight following a lakeside scrub fire at Wanaka, which sent huge fireballs into the sky.
Some homes were evacuated in Dublin Bay because of the scrub fire, which was 500 by 500 metres at one point.
Firefighters and two helicopters battled the blaze.
The Fire Service says crews left at 9 o'clock last night and there have been no issues during the night.
The fire was near the home of celebrity chef Annabel Langbein.
