A 50-year-old Waiuku man has suffered serious injuries over his left eye and cheek after a chainsaw kicked back in his face.
A Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to a Waiuku property at about 11am where he suffered lacerations to his face after using a chainsaw to cut a tree.
He was treated at the scene by ambulance staff before being flown to Middlemore Hospital.
