Waitemata police are tonight looking for a remand prisoner who did not return from a release to attend his father's funeral.
Tuakana Matthews, 25, failed to return to Auckland Central Remand Prison at 5.30pm yesterday.
He breached his bail conditions when he didn't return from the funeral in Whangarei.
A warrant was issued at Whangarei District Court today.
Matthews should not be approached by the public and all sightings of him should be reported to police immediately.
