The Surf Life Saving Northern Region was busy over Waitangi Day clocking more than 1600 hours worked and four ambulance callouts across the various beaches.
More than 10,000 people flocked to the northern region's beaches, which cover Auckland to the Far North and as far south as Raglan, for the public holiday.
On Tuesday 10 people were rescued, 12 were assisted, five were given major first aid and 12 given minor first aid.
The public holiday saw four responses by ambulance at Muriwai, Piha, Raglan and Pakiri.
So far this season the northern region has worked more than 65,000 hours, rescued 297 people and provided first aid to 750 people.
