The Wairarapa-Bush Rugby Union is looking for a new naming rights sponsor now that Masterton company Oldfields Group Ltd has come to the end of its sponsorship contract with the union.
WBRFU chief executive Phil Taylor said the support received from Oldfields since 2003 had been a key part of the growth and success the union had achieved in recent years.
"Oldfields leave us on a high with the Heartland championship win this year and now we look forward to finding a new naming rights sponsor who wants to benefit from that success and help rugby in this area continue to produce championship-winning teams across the grades," Taylor said.
Oldfields managing director Colin Oldfield said his company had enjoyed the past four years of involvement with Wairarapa-Bush rugby.
"We've been pleased and proud to be able to support what is now New Zealand's premier Heartland rugby province and we wish the union every success in the future," he said.
Meanwhile, Wairarapa-Bush lock Tomasi Kedrabuka is one of three finalists for the Heartland championship player of the year award, the winner of which will be announced during the NZRFU Steinlager awards function at Sky City, Auckland on December 14.
The lanky middle rower was in consistently superb form when Wairarapa-Bush won the Heartland title last season and must be a strong chance to beat off the challenges of Poverty Bay halfback Denning Tyrell and Poverty Bay first-five Scott Leighton.
All Blacks captain Richie McCaw is set to scoop a third major award at the same function.
Already named player of the year by his fellow international players and the International Rugby Board, he is short-listed for the Kelvin Tremain Memorial overall player of the year title. Also nominated for that award are his fellow All Blacks, first-five Daniel Carter and utility back Mils Muliaina.
Carter is also a nominee for Super 14 player of the year, along with Crusaders teammate Leon MacDonald and Hurricanes lock Jason Eaton.
Other nominees are:- Referee of the year: Paul Honiss, Bryce Lawrence and Steve Walsh.
Women's player of the year: Huriana Manuel (Auckland), Amiria Marsh (Canterbury) and Rochelle Martin (Auckland).
Volunteer of the year: Tom Clarkson (West Coast), Jock Martin (Otago) and Maurie Scanlon (Canterbury).
Team of the year: All Blacks, Black Ferns, Crusaders, Waikato.
Air NZ Cup player of the year: Cory Jane (Wellington), Richard Kahui (Waikato) and Hayden Triggs (Manawatu).
Coach of the year: Robbie Deans (Crusaders), Warren Gatland (Waikato) and Graham Henry (All Blacks).
