Wairarapa duo Tara Hall and Holly Gaskin are in training mode with the Junior Black Sticks women's hockey team in Delhi, India.
The two former Wairarapa College pupils, who are both studying industrial design at Massey University in Wellington, will make their international debuts at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Four Nations tournament being played in Delhi from tomorrow until Saturday.
Opposing the Junior Black Sticks will be their highly ranked counterparts from Australia, Germany and India.
The hockey careers of Hall and Gaskin have been something of a mirror image. They both played for Wairarapa at various age-group levels and were members of the same Wairarapa College first XI.
They also played together for Dalefield in the Wellington premier division competition.In Wellington they originally played for the Indians club before transferring to Harbour City this year.
