Two Wairarapa players have been named in the New Zealand Tiger Turf under-18 squads after they represented Capital at the national regional tournaments for that age group last week.
Megan Hull and Joseph Robertson are now part of Hockey New Zealand's Future Black Sticks programme, which will see them involved in training and development camps, given individualised training programmes, and playing in international competitions.
The Capital women were runners-up to Auckland at the regional event, while the men came third behind Midlands and Canterbury. The full complement of Wairarapa players in the women's line-up was Brigette Mossman, Georgie Warren, Katie-Anne Saywell, Kelsey Linton, Megan Hull, Michael O'Connor and Monika Lombard. In the men's team were Alex Sumenko-Bucknell, Joseph Robertson, Mitchell Blackwood, Tane Workman and Phillip Arkell.
