Wairarapa College hold a slender one-point lead in Netball Wairarapa's premier one competition.
They are sitting on 43 points with early favourites Harcourts Collegiate on 42.
Then come Newbolds All Blacks 38, St Matthew's Collegiate 37, Celtic Marist 18, Salute Greytown 16, Featherston Black Sox 5 and Hiona 0.
Last weekend's Battle of the Colleges match between Wairarapa College and St Matthew's produced some confusion in media reports through the scores provided both newspapers and radio showing Wairarapa College having won by a narrow 34-32.
Well, as it happened the score was right but the result wrong with St Matthew's actually having their noses in front at the final whistle.
It was a big result for St Matthew's, the defending champions, and one which showed they are anything but a spent force.
However, they certainly won't get everything their own way this weekend when they play Harcourts Collegiate, who are starting to show the sort of form which was expected to take them to the premier one title without any fuss or bother.
They have considerable experience through their ranks and will be looking to frustrate St Matthew's into mistakes. How the students cope under the pressure will decide the fate of this game.
Wairarapa College and All Blacks meet at the Genesis Recreation Centre tonight and this should be an interesting game too. The college team will have a clear edge in speed around the court and will need to utilise that advantage to stave off an All Blacks side which will lack nothing on the score of aggression.
Also playing tonight will be Greytown and Hiona and Greytown should run out comfortable winners there while at Kuranui College tomorrow Celtic Marist should have the "wood" on Featherston Black Sox.
