KEY POINTS:
The Waioeka Gorge has reopened after a large slip closed State Highway Two late yesterday afternoon.
The slip came down between the townships of Wairata and Matawai and closed the main road between Opotiki and Gisborne.
Inspector Kay Lane said drivers should drive with caution around the slip area and reduce their speed.
