A Transpower contractor seriously injured after a temporary tower he was on fell to the ground is in a stable condition in hospital.
The man, in his 20s, suffered broken bones on Wednesday when the temporary power pylon fell as he and his Electrix team worked at a site on Ruakura Rd, Hamilton.
The contractors were moving pylons to make way for the Hamilton section of the Waikato Expressway.
About 9.30am the temporary tower, which the man was working on, fell to the ground.
A Waikato Hospital spokesperson said he remained in a stable condition in the hospital's high-dependency unit today.
