Peter Harris has been re-elected as mayor of the Waikato District council with 7,609 votes.
He had a clear lead over Lesley Syme who followed with a distant 1,619 votes.
Rob McGuire was unopposed to take the Eureka ward as was Rod Wise for Hukani, Ian McLannan for Newcastle and John Morris for the Whangamarino ward.
Shirley Boyde and Graeme Tait have taken out the Huntly ward.
Ngaruawahia will be represented by Allan William David Morse and Moera Rose Soloman while Clint Baddeley will represent Raglan.
The Rangiriri ward will be represented by Dynes Fulton and Tamahere by Wally Pollock while Whaingaroa is Rodney Dixon and Whangape Allan Sanson.
Meanwhile South Waikato has a new mayor.
Neil Sinclair has been voted in after former mayor Gordon Blake stepped down.
The Tokoroa Ward will be represented by David Foote, Jenny Shatick, Margaret Brownsley, Dean Rea, Francis Campbell and Lyn Corban.
Five of the six have been re-elected with Lyn Corban the newcomer to the group.
Putaruru will be represented by Herman Van Rooijen, Norman Barker, Neil Sinclair and Roy Robins while Tirau councillor is Mary Dunnett.
