Police are asking for the public to help in locating a young man in the Waikato after he failed to appear in court today.
Acting Sergeant Stu Patterson said a warrant has been issued for 18-year-old Henare Wikaira's arrest, after he failed to appear in the Morrinsville District Court.
"Henare Wikaira is actively avoiding police and is wanted for breaching court release conditions and burglary."
Mr Wikaira was believed to be living in the Morrinsville area, and was described as of Maori descent. He was of a medium build with short dark hair.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to call Morrinsville Police on 07 889 5071 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
