Vodafone customers that lost access to the internet yesterday after a power outage in Waikanae have been reconnected to the network, only to have it drop off again.
An estimated 500 customers lost access to the internet and Vodafone TV after the Vodafone network was disrupted in Waikanae yesterday around 11am.
A tree is believed to have fallen onto a line, causing a major power cut in the region.
The disruption caused by the power outage was fixed today, but an unrelated issue on the network was causing problems for Vodafone broadband customers today.
Today's network issue was being managed by Chorus and is not specific to Vodafone customers.
