The four Wairarapa College teams competing at the regional secondary schools canoe polo tournament at Naenae last weekend have qualified to contest the national championships at Rotorua from March 30 to April 1.
The regionals saw Wairarapa College place first in both the junior girls and junior boys sections, first equal in the senior girls and second in the senior boys.
It was a result which delighted the teacher in charge of canoe polo at Wairarapa College, Liz Brown, who is confident they will also shape up well at the nationals.
