Two Wairarapa men are in the running for the Forest Growers Levy Trust Board, with voting now open.
The board represents the owners of "smaller" forests, between four and 1000 hectares.
Anyone who meets that criteria, provided the forest was planted before October 2003, may vote for either Guy Farman, managing director of Farman Turkington Forestry, and Steve Wilton, managing director of Forest Enterprises.
Both are based in Wairarapa.
Voting opened yesterday and closes on October 16, in the form of a secret online ballot where each forest owner gets one vote.
