Charting rap artist and former Masterton forestry worker Kaleb Vitale (aka K.One) has released his first single in more than a year.
Vitale, who is Auckland-based and has two daughters in Wairarapa, released his latest single, All Over Again, on iTunes at the end of last week.
He told Auckland radio station Mai FM he had taken a break from releasing new material and had been waiting on the best time to break his silence with his latest track, which focuses on "love's imperfections".
Vitale is signed to Illegal Musik, a Warner subsidiary, and in 2010 reached No4 on the New Zealand charts with J Williams on Night of Your Life, which went gold.
In the same year, he released Walking Away alongside Op Shop's Jason Kerrison, which reached No38, and in 2011 he released his debut album, Far From Home. Vitale has been on tours over the past two years and headlined the 2013 La De Da festival near Martinborough.
