KEY POINTS:
Visitors to Tauranga's new $8 million art gallery have been exposed to a view of more than just a glass mezzanine floor.
The glass floor has revealed more of the gallery than intended, as anyone looking up from the ground floor can see everyone above - including up women's skirts.
Opaque glass installed to prevent such problems failed to work, unbeknown to those standing on it at a recent open day.
Gallery director Richard Arlidge said an opaque adhesive film would be stuck to the underside of the glass before the gallery opened in mid-October.
