Swine flu has been detected in a party of visiting Japanese schoolgirls.
Five girls out of a group of more than 200 have been diagnosed with the disease. About 35 girls in the party have mild flu-like symptoms. They are on a trip organised by two Christchurch girls' schools.
All the pupils are being given Tamiflu, and those with symptoms are in isolation for 72 hours.
