Immigration applications from high-risk countries are rejected usually because they stray from requirements rather than being of bad character.
The Immigration Profiling Group has revealed it rejected 868 visa applications made by prospective migrants from those countries in the last year. Twenty three nations are in the high risk category.
Only four of the rejected applications fell in the "failed character" category.
Six-hundred-and -21 were turned down because the migrants did not meet the required guidelines of the visa for which they were applying.
