Images of two men who allegedly carried out a violent home invasion in Opiki last week have been released by police.
A 45-year-old women awoke at around 6.40am on Wednesday to find a young man in her Poplar Road home demanding "drugs" and making threats.
Sergeant Dave Thompson of the Manawatu CIB said a violent struggle ensued with the woman after being unable to satisfy the home invader's demands. She received cuts to her upper body.
"The other offender has also appeared while this has been going on and entered the struggle. We understand during this time he's received a wound to the stomach with scissors."
The offenders immediately left the scene and police are seeking sightings of a vehicle driving "dangerously" in the area between 6.50am and 7.15am.
