Gladstone Vineyard pinot noir has captured yet another accolade in a run of international honours for the wine that dates back nine vintages.
Owner Christine Kernohan said Gladstone Vineyard Pinot Noir 2010 has taken out the Pinot Bledisloe Cup in a transtasman taste-off for the Australian wine publication, Gourmet Traveller Wine.
The magazine's team selected and tasted more than 40 pinot noir wines from Australia and New Zealand and the Gladstone Vineyard Pinot Noir took the crown, with 96 points, finishing ahead of some exceptional producers from both sides of the Tasman.
The judging panel said the Gladstone wine "shows beautifully how top pinot is a wine of both perfume and structure".
Mrs Kernohan said an international winning streak began for the winery seven years ago when the Gladstone Vineyard Pinot Noir 2004 won at the Blue-Gold Award Sydney International Wine Competition.
