KEY POINTS:
A worker on a Canterbury vineyard apparently fell asleep in a hot tub and died after an all-night party.
The man, in his 20s, worked for the Pegasus Bay Winery, which was celebrating the end of the harvest, the Press reported.
The man's body was found about 10.30am on Saturday, in a large plastic vat, the paper reported today.
The vat had been filled with water, and had seats installed for party-goers to soak in it during the party. About 50 to 60 people were at the annual party.
Winery business manager Paul Donaldson, who found the man, said the body showed no signs of trauma.
The man, from Amberley in North Canterbury, appeared to have fallen asleep in the tub after staying up all night.
